The HIDALGO is a young team that is passionate and ambitious about creating good, extraordinary and direct art. We see classical music as a contemporary form of expression. We produce innovative concert formats and organize the annual HIDALGO Festival for young classical music in Munich.
We don’t go to the concert hall, but to parking garages, industrial halls and electro clubs. We create video installations and commission sound design. We stage musical theater with black light, dance and boxing. We confront romantic poetry with modern poetry. Whatever fits together to form something bigger is allowed.
Where is there something to do, what first and who has nothing to do yet? As Volunteer Coordinator, all the threads come together for you. Together with our festival management, you will draw up the operational plans, ensure a good atmosphere in the team and keep a relaxed overview in stressful situations.
Period: possible all year round
Throughout the year we are looking for new volunteers to join our enthusiastic team. In recruiting, we are planning new strategies, flyer campaigns and spontaneous guerrilla concerts to make our team even bigger, more diverse and more exciting.

Here you can immerse yourself in our creative department. You help to create one big production from various artistic disciplines. No one is better informed about the rehearsals than you, because you document everything and help coordinate the participants.

You stand at the cash desk, at the entrance, behind the bar, in the middle of it all as a hall assistant or everywhere at the same time as a runner. Our event crew manages the “front of house” and welcomes visitors. You are our figurehead. Full contact with the audience is guaranteed.
Period: possible all year round
As a host, you are our good soul. You look after our artists and our crew. Your job is to make sure that everyone is well, that everyone finds their hotel and that there is enough food. In return, you reward yourself and everyone else with regular get-togethers and lavish parties.
Period: possible all year round
Behind our productions is a huge organizational effort – which you can accompany from start to finish. Alongside our project managers, who run the whole thing, you’ll research locations, organize appointments and be everywhere.

Go out and talk about the HIDALGO! As part of our promo crew, you will be plastering the city with flyers and posters, sending information to visitor groups, talking to city magazines or welcoming media representatives at events. Here you make us visible!
Period: possible all year round
We plan campaigns, post on all channels, send out newsletters, write program booklets and design posters. We take photos, film and conduct lively interviews – all of which show that classical music, art and artists are extremely entertaining.

Do you feel comfortable around people and enjoy talking? Do you enjoy persistently convincing others of useful things? Then we need you as our ambassador to network and exchange ideas with our important friends and supporters.

Our technicians and logisticians transform every location into a HIDALGO world. They drive the vans, set up stages and grandstands (and then take them down again) and make us shine and sound behind their consoles with lighting and sound technology.
Period: possible all year round
Can you sell everything? Then you’ll love our productions, which our collective puts together with great passion. We want to play all over Germany and beyond – and you convince theaters and festivals that they absolutely need us.
