It reflects experiences of flight from the world over time. Artists, hall and audience form a living work of art.<\/p>\nThe name “Orplid” comes from the works of Eduard M\u00f6rike, some of which were set to music by Hugo Wolf. “Orplid” refers to a dream world that the poet and his friends imagined. Escape from the world, i.e. turning away from everyday life, was one of the central themes of the Romantic era. Today, this idea can be found in the contemporary underground scenes, among others.<\/p>\n
ORPLID combines tradition and modernity, romantic song and abstract forms, classical music and black light aesthetics. Shrouded in darkness and covered in fluorescent shapes and will-o’-the-wisps, the room is transformed into an enchanted dream world. At its best, ORPLID offers the possibility of deep, emotional contact.
