TANZ DEN GANZ NORMALEN WAHNSINN – HIDALGO WERKSTATT<\/h2>\n

WORKSHOP AND DANCE PERFORMANCE<\/h3>\n

Chaos in the head, sky-high joy and first heartbreak, getting lost in the world and at the same time living intensely in it: the total and completely normal madness of young people who have to find their way somewhere between the pressure to perform and youthful recklessness, self-optimization and complete exuberance.<\/p>\n

This intense life needs forms of expression\u2014and a dance performance outside the norm, which can also be aimed in particular at students from schools with special challenges. In workshops, the young people develop and learn specially choreographed dances from the field of modern dance with a dance teacher. They take part in the stage technology and put on a dance performance.<\/p>\n

Gustav Mahler provides the live soundtrack: the song cycle \u201cLieder eines fahrenden Gesellen\u201d tells the story of a wanderer, an unhappy lover with dreams and melancholy, who takes his fate into his own hands. Songs from the cycle \u201cDes Knaben Wunderhorn\u201d put the trials and tribulations of falling in love into music.<\/p>\n

The famous song \u201cIch bin der Welt abhanden gekommen\u201d shows a personal confrontation with oneself and the world.\u202f\u202fFor the young people’s dance performance, Mahler’s songs for a singer and piano are alienated with live electronics and underlaid with dance beats.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VCxaCLj17pk”][vc_column_text]One artistic element of the project’s curriculum is a visit to \u201cREFUGIUM\u201d, the mobile installation with song and dance in a van. The dance and artistic preparatory work of this format forms the basis of the educational format. In the installation, the students experience a dancer who expresses his feelings of being lost and desperate to Gustav Mahler’s \u201cIch bin der Welt abhanden gekommen\u201d, but finds refuge in music and dance. Beforehand, they receive an introduction to the installation designed especially for them.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
